Real work

Every photo below is a real Buvid Studio job, shot on site. Flip the before / after on the first one — that's the same storefront.

Cafe MILI — coming-soon film

The night this Langley unit was leased, it was bare glass and a FOR LEASE sign. Temporary coming-soon film went on for the build-out: it hid the construction inside and announced the cafe to everyone walking past — advertising before the doors even opened. On opening day it came off, and the real storefront began.

  • Hides the build-out, sells the opening
  • Temporary film — removed on opening day
  • Full window coverage, designed panels

AFTER — DARK WOOD GRAIN

It used to be red.

This bathroom vanity went from glossy red to dark wood grain with Hyundai Bodak interior film. Not painted, not replaced — the original red door is on the left, the finished vanity on the right.

  • Same cabinets, brand-new finish
  • Film folded over every edge, by hand
  • No paint, no demolition, no new doors

The detail shot

Zoom in on the edge.

Anyone can cover a flat door. The edge is where wrapping is won or lost — the film has to fold over, sit flat and stay invisible. This is the same vanity, door open, up close.

  • Edges wrapped, not just faces
  • Clean fold, no lifting corners

Renewspace Ltd. work truck with a partial fleet wrap by Buvid Studio — brand colour, logo, services and phone number PARTIAL WRAP — DRIVER'S SIDE
Fleet wrap · Renewspace Ltd.

Half a wrap. Full-time billboard.

A partial wrap for Renewspace Ltd.'s work truck: brand colour blocked across the bed and tailgate, the logo where eyes land first — and the services, phone number and a QR code on the tailgate, for every driver sitting behind it.

  • Partial coverage, full message
  • Branding where it counts, not everywhere
  • Comes off clean when the truck changes hands
Finished striped accent wall installed with pattern film by Buvid Studio PATTERN FILM — NOT PAINT, NOT WALLPAPER
Wall film · Accent wall

A plain wall walked in. Stripes walked out.

This accent wall is pattern film — not paint, not wallpaper. Every stripe is cut to size, lined up, and smoothed down one at a time. No drying time, no paste, and it comes off clean when the room needs a new mood.

  • Stripes aligned across the whole wall
  • Works around windows and outlets
  • Removable — change it when the room changes

How a quote works

No showroom visit needed to start. It begins with a photo.

1

Send a photo

DM a photo of your storefront, wall, cabinets or truck on Instagram, email it to hello@buvidstudio.com — or call 778-952-0053. Add rough measurements if you have them.

2

Get your quote

We price the film, the coverage and the install for your exact surface — partial or full, temporary or long-term — and talk through finishes before anything is cut.

3

We install

On site, anywhere in BC. Surfaces get measured, cut, lined up and finished by hand — edges included — and old film comes off clean when it's time for a change.

04

Build your quote request

Two steps: Step 1 — fill in the form and tap “Write my message”. Step 2 — your message appears on the right (below on phones); send it by email, copy it into an Instagram DM, or call and read it out. Nothing is sent until you send it.

STEP 1Fill this in
STEP 2Send it your way

YOUR MESSAGE — NOT READY YET

Your quote request will appear here once you finish Step 1 and hit “Write my message”.

Step 1 first — your message isn’t ready yet, so Copy and Email are waiting. Fill in the form and hit “Write my message”.

Email button not opening? Some phones and in-app browsers have no mail app set up, so nothing appears to happen. Use Copy message instead and paste it into an Instagram DM or any email — it works the same.

Tip: attach a photo of the surface when you DM — quotes get much more accurate with one.

Questions

The ones we get asked before a first job — pricing, timing, what film can and can't do, and how to look after it. Straight answers, no sales talk. If yours isn't here, ask us: a photo and one line is enough to start.

PART A

Booking, pricing & timing

Where do you work?

All of British Columbia. Send a photo and your town with your quote request and we'll take it from there — most quotes start from photos and rough measurements, so distance rarely slows anything down.

How do I get a price?

DM a photo of the surface on Instagram (@buvidstudio), email it to hello@buvidstudio.com or call 778-952-0053. Rough measurements help. The quote builder above writes the message for you — and can open it straight in your mail app.

What does the price actually depend on?

Four things, priced for your exact surface — never a flat guess:

  • The film itself — solar, frost, print graphics and Bodak interior film all cost differently
  • How much of it — square footage, full coverage vs. partial
  • The surface — glass type, access, height, and how much prep it needs
  • Design work — a plain frost band is simpler than printed, multi-panel graphics

That's why a photo plus rough measurements gets you a real number fast, instead of a ballpark that changes later.

How long does an installation take?

It scales with the job: a frost band or a set of cabinet doors is a very different day from a full storefront or a whole kitchen. What we can promise is the order of events — you get a time estimate with your quote, before anything is cut, and we confirm the install window with you up front. Tell us your deadline (an opening date, a move-in, a launch) in your quote request and we'll plan backwards from it.

What should I do before install day?

Very little — we measure, cut, line up and finish by hand on site. It helps if the surface is reachable: window displays moved back, items cleared off cabinets we're wrapping, and the vehicle washed if it's a fleet job. We'll tell you exactly what your specific job needs when we book it, so there are no surprises on the day.

Can you install around my business hours?

Storefront and office work is planned to keep your doors usable — that's why timing is part of every quote conversation. Tell us your opening hours and any hard deadline, and we'll agree on an install window that disrupts the least before we start.

PART B

Film know-how — glass, privacy & care

Full frost or partial frost — which do I need?

Full frost gives complete privacy — nobody sees in or out, but the light still comes through, so the room stays bright. A partial frost band puts privacy exactly at eye level while people can still see in over or under it — good for storefronts that want privacy and a view at the same time. Send a photo of your glass and we'll recommend one for your space.

Will window film help with heat and glare, or just privacy?

Both exist, and they're different films. Solar-control film is made to cut glare and solar heat while keeping the view; privacy and frost films are made to block sightlines. Some spaces need one, some need the other, some need different films on different windows. Tell us the problem — a west-facing room that bakes, a meeting room everyone can see into — and we'll match the film to it instead of selling you one film for everything.

Is every film right for every pane of glass?

No — and any installer who says otherwise is guessing. Glass type, age and exposure all matter when choosing a film, especially for tint and solar films. That's why we ask for photos and details up front: so the film we recommend is one that's suited to your glass, not just the one on the shelf.

Does film damage the surface underneath?

The work on this page is built to be reversible: the Cafe MILI coming-soon film came off on opening day, the fleet wrap comes off clean when the truck changes hands, and the striped wall film removes cleanly when the room needs a new mood. Film goes on without paint, paste or demolition — and comes off without taking the surface with it.

How do I clean and look after film?

Keep it simple and gentle:

  • Soft cloth or sponge, mild soapy water — that's all most film ever needs
  • No abrasive pads, powders or blades on the film surface
  • Give fresh film time to fully settle before its first proper clean — we'll tell you how long for your job
  • On wrapped cabinets and edges, wipe rather than soak

Treated that way, film keeps its finish — and if an edge or corner ever lifts, tell us early. Small lifts are a quick fix; ignored ones aren't.

How long does film last?

It depends on the film, the surface and how much sun and wear it takes — an interior cabinet film and a sun-beaten storefront live different lives. So instead of a generic number: before you commit, we'll name the exact film going on your job and what its documented specifications say. You approve the film first, then we install it.

PART C

Cabinets, rentals & vehicles

Why wrap cabinets instead of replacing them?

The cabinets themselves are usually fine — it's the finish that's dated. Hyundai Bodak interior film gives them a brand-new finish with no paint, no demolition and no new doors, and the edges are folded by hand so it reads as a real finish, not a sticker. The vanity in our work section went from glossy red to dark wood grain without a single door being replaced.

I rent my home — or lease my shop. Is film still an option?

Usually it's the best option, precisely because it's reversible: no paint, no holes, no demolition, and it comes off clean when the space changes hands. Two things stay your call — check your lease or strata rules first if they cover window coverings or signage, and if anything needs approval, we're happy to describe exactly what will be installed so you can ask with real details in hand.

Full wrap or partial wrap for a work truck?

For most company vehicles, partial — like the Renewspace truck above. Brand colour, logo, services and phone number placed where eyes land first (sides and tailgate) carry the whole message at a fraction of full-wrap coverage, and it removes clean when the vehicle is sold or replaced. Full wraps make sense when the vehicle itself needs to become the colour. Send a photo of the vehicle and we'll tell you honestly which one yours needs.

Can you match my brand colours and logo?

Yes — storefront graphics and fleet wraps are designed work, not off-the-shelf stickers: panels are designed, printed and installed to your branding. If you have logo files, send them with your quote request; if you only have a name and a colour in mind, that's enough to start the conversation.

Still not sure film is right for your surface? Send the photo anyway — if film isn't the answer, we'll say so.
